In 2010, PLEN established a special part of the annual Mentor Awards: the Marianne Alexander Alumnae Leadership Award, named after PLEN's first executive director. The first award honored alumna Kristin Haffert, who went on to found Mine The Gap, an organization that empowers leaders to create and sustain gender-inclusive work environments.
