Hi everyone! I’m Audrey, PLEN’s intern and I’m currently studying abroad in Amsterdam. So far I have visited Barcelona, London, Florence, and Rome. I'm heading to Paris and Vienna next month to visit friends. Studying abroad and being able to travel like this has always been one of my biggest dreams, and I’m so grateful to be able to do so while being able to continue working at a job I love. Over the course of my time with PLEN, I’ve gained so much valuable knowledge that I’ve been able to use in my daily life here in the Netherlands. The seminars that I have attended have taught me so much about leadership, networking, and being a confident woman in a male-dominated space. PLEN has truly taught me to use my voice not only to help myself, but to uplift and empower everyone around me.
PLEN has been my first internship experience, and has been crucial in the process of introducing me to future opportunities. My time working at PLEN has taught me to be organized, driven, and to think outside the box. I’ve been able to hone in on my creative side too, when making the monthly newsletter with my co-worker Nadia. It’s been so much fun bringing my passion for music and reading into work. I love choosing the albums and books to recommend people with. We’ve gotten great feedback from them, and that makes me really happy.
Out of the many amazing things PLEN has brought me, being able to attend the past seminars and seeing all the work my coworkers and I have done be put together is such a satisfactory feeling. I love meeting the attendees and hearing about why they decided to join in on a PLEN seminar. I for one have learned so much from them. I study Political Science at my university, but I absolutely loved the Health Policy seminar I attended as an intern, and it gave me great respect for those women in the field trying to make the world a better and healthier place. I would recommend PLEN to any girl who wants to make a difference in the world, because of how much it has made a difference for me.

Audrey Tillman is a junior at The George Washington University studying Political Science and Journalism. She started interning for PLEN in the fall semester of her junior year. She is originally from North Carolina and wants to go to law school after she finishes her undergraduate degree.
