Seminar: Women, Law, and Legal Advocacy (2015)
Occupation: Student, Washburn University School of Law
Education: Kansas State University

My favorite part about attending the PLEN seminar was meeting women from all over the U.S. who have very similar passions. We came from different backgrounds, cultures, and undergraduate institutions, but still had a drive to learn more about law and legal advocacy. I also really enjoyed meeting women with important career positions and hearing how they got to where they are now. Many of their stories were very inspiring and instilled in me a passion for doing all I can to become my best person and really reach for my dreams.  At PLEN, I learned how to network, which will be very important in the next few years as I look for externships, jobs, and experience. I have also used my experience at the Capitol building and Supreme Court building to discuss government and justice with my peers.”
