She Should Run is a non-partisan 501(c)3 organization expanding the talent pool of future elected female leaders. She Should Run started as a project in 2008 and has evolved to become a movement working to create a culture that inspires women and girls to aspire towards public leadership. We believe that women of all backgrounds should have an equal shot at elected leadership and that our country will benefit from having a government with varied perspectives and experiences.
At the PLEN Women in Public Policy and Women and Congress seminars, She Should Run presents a modified-incubator program to prepare PLEN students to run for office.
The mission of the Washington Internship Institute is to foster students' intellectual, personal, and professional development through individually tailored, quality internships and challenging academic coursework that take full advantage of the opportunities available in the nation's capital and reflect the best practices of experiential learning and liberal education.
The Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) and the Washington Internship Institute have established a partnership to enhance their current programs and reach more students, institutions, and organizations. The partnership provides the organizations access to the other's partner institutions and guarantees discounts to students from those institutions for the organizations' programs.
