In 2015, our students met with high-profile role models including Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (OH-03), top Washington lobbyist Gina F. Adams of FedEx Corporation, and Dr. Carolyn M. Clancy, Interim Under Secretary for Health for the Department of Veterans Affairs (named among the Top 20 Most Influential People in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare magazine). PLEN’s second annual Unlocking Nonprofits: Innovations seminar in March met the changing needs and interests of our students with an inspirational keynote address by Caryl M. Stern, President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
On March 18, 2015 PLEN celebrated its 35th Anniversary. At the event, thirty-five alumnae were recognized for their accomplishments and a new scholarship fund was announced in recognition of the amazing work of Board Chair, Ellie Shaw.
