PLEN’s COVID-19 Policy

Beginning January 15, 2022, many businesses in Washington, DC are required to ask all those who enter their business age 12 or older for proof of COVID-19 vaccination. The COVID-19 vaccine requirement for businesses is in compliance with Mayor’s Order 2021-148. The second phase of the Mayor’s order, beginning February 15, 2022, will require two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination for all patrons. In accordance with a separate order, Mayor’s Order 2021-147, businesses are also required to require all those who enter their business to wear a mask when indoors. The Mayor’s Orders were implemented as a measure to combat the spread of the COVID-19 omicron variant through the region

In accordance with Washington D.C. COVID guidelines, all PLEN staff, interns, volunteers, seminar and event participants will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in all in-person PLEN functions. When attending in-person PLEN functions in an indoor venue, all event attendees must also be masked.

The PLEN team looks forward to safely organizing more in-person events in compliance with Washington D.C. COVID guidelines, including our upcoming in-person STEM Policy seminar and Global Policy seminar! If you have any questions about PLEN’s COVID-19 Policy, please reach out to a PLEN staff member at plen@plen.org.
